Lori Loughlin's lawyers: Federal prosecutors hid evidence in college admissions scandal - USA TODAY

Actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, continue to insist they are innocent in the college admissions scandal.

And on Friday a new filing from the couple's lawyers says they can prove it – but prosecutors needs to cough up the evidence.

Loughlin and Giannulli are among 36 parents accused of paying into a vast criminal network led by Rick Singer, a college admissions consultant from California, who took payments in exchange for either tagging their children as fake athletic recruits to get them admitted into elite colleges or fixing their college entrance exam scores. Singer pleaded guilty and and is cooperating with authorities.

The couple is accused of paying $500,000 to a nonprofit led by Singer and a University of Southern California athletics official to get their daughters tagged as crew recruits to get them into USC. Neither daughter played crew.

But in court documents filed Friday in Boston and obtained by USA TODAY, Loughlin and Giannulli's lawyers insist any payments given to Singer were legitimate donations.

The filing also alleges prosecutors have withheld exculpatory evidence, due last May, "that helps show that (the couple) believed all of the payments they made would go to USC itself – for legitimate, university-approved purposes – or to other legitimate charitable causes.”

The filing alleges prosecutors had previously failed to disclose that "Singer stated that Giannulli and Loughlin thought their payment of $50,000 went directly to USC’s program."

Such evidence would "directly undermine" prosecutors' theories that the couple knew their payments would be used to bribe a rogue USC official, the filing states.

Meanwhile, the filing continues, prosecutors "launched a months-long campaign to pressure (Loughlin and Giannulli) into pleading guilty" and continued to apply pressure by bringing new charges against them.

On Thursday, federal prosecutors asked that Loughlin and Giannulli be among the first group of parents to be tried in the college admissions scandal in October.

Loughlin and Giannulli are among 15 parents still fighting charges in the blockbuster "Varsity Blues" admissions scandal. U.S. District Judge Nathaniel Gorton has made clear he wants to divide the parents into smaller groups rather than have them tried all at once.

The couple is charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, honest services fraud, money laundering and federal programs bribery, which was tacked on in October to parents who declined plea deals offered by prosecutors. They've pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Taylor Swift Fans Are Sending Death Threats To Nikki Glaser For Insults In Netflix's Miss Americana Documentary - CinemaBlend

During the Netflix documentary, Taylor Swift is shown talking about her struggles with an eating disorder. She said she would be triggered by a photo showing her stomach, or any kind of comment about her looking fat, and she would just stop eating. It took her a while to get past that, and she remarked on the maddening beauty standard that demands women be flat-stomached and skinny but also have an ass and sexy curves. It's fucking impossible, as she put it.

'Fast & Furious 9' trailer: Sung Kang on Justice for Han - Los Angeles Times

Justice is coming to “Fast and Furious 9” in a big way: with the return of Sung Kang as beloved Toretto family member Han.

Han’s homecoming was teased in a new trailer for Universal’s May 22 action sequel, directed by frequent series helmer Justin Lin, which sees Vin Diesel‘s Dominic Toretto trying to leave his quarter-mile-at-a-time life behind.

“It’s emotional — it feels like I’m going back to a family reunion,” said the actor ahead of his surprise appearance onstage at Friday’s pre-Super Bowl trailer premiere and concert event in Miami. “It’s a relationship that has been missing in my life since the last ‘Fast.’”

The trailer is expected to make its television debut on Sunday during the big game.

Han’s return to the franchise comes as a shock partly because the death of the character, who was introduced in the third film, has been depicted multiple times onscreen in the nine-film series — in 2006’s “Tokyo Drift,” again in 2013’s “Fast & Furious 6" and again at the beginning of 2015’s “Furious 7.”

Then again, no blockbuster series has played as fast and loose with the rules or with its own mythology as the $5-billion-plus grossing saga that began as the humble tale of macho street racers in 2001’s “The Fast and the Furious.”

Kang became a pivotal linchpin when he originated the role of Han in 2006 threequel “Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.” His character proved so charismatic that director Lin and screenwriter Chris Morgan bent time to bring him back for the next three films, making “Fast & Furious,” “Fast Five” and “Fast & Furious 6” prequels to “Tokyo Drift.”

That bold move made Han a bridge between Dominic Toretto’s crew of L.A. street racers and the international roster of spies, special operatives and professional thieves the films are now known for. But how the franchise treated its only Asian American main cast member after that led to fan outrage and the hashtag #JusticeForHan.

At the end of “Fast & Furious 6,” filmmakers tinkered with the series’ canon to reveal who had actually been responsible for Han’s death: British ex-operative Deckard Shaw. Played by Jason Statham, the new character was introduced causing the fiery crash that claimed Han’s life.

The seventh film began with the grieving Toretto crew out to avenge the murder of their close friend. By the next installment, however, fans were in for a shock: Refashioning Statham’s Shaw into a hero, “Fate of the Furious” saw Dom seemingly forgive the former villain, who even got an invite to the family barbecue.

The abrupt turn spawned the #JusticeForHan hashtag. Social media outcry increased when Statham, now a full-fledged good guy, got his own spinoff movie last year opposite Dwayne Johnson, “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.”

For Kang, watching the “Justice for Han” movement rally around the character that launched his career was initially hard to process. It became a touching source of inspiration as he watched fans voice their support for the character he originated.

“At first it was easy to dismiss it,” he said. “I wondered, does the audience really have a voice?”

On the outside of creative decisions that were being made as the franchise continued to evolve without him, Kang himself wondered if the retconned Shaw storyline left Han’s legacy out in the cold. “When Shaw came in and was revealed to be the killer and got invited into the family fold … that’s where you went, ‘Well, is this character being respected?’”

Han’s return to the franchise coincides with the return of director Lin, who indicated where his heart lies when he was spotted on the “Fast 9" set wearing a “Justice for Han” T-shirt.

Returning cast include Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron, who are joined by new franchise antagonist John Cena as Dom’s brother. The upcoming film is written by Daniel Casey.

Kang and Lin’s relationship with Han predates the “Fast” universe, going all the way back to Lin’s 2002 indie drama “Better Luck Tomorrow.” (The collaborators have playfully said they consider Kang’s “Better Luck Tomorrow” character, also named Han, to be the same person as his “Fast” character.)

“We know who and what Han is,” said Kang about how he and Lin approached Han in “Fast 9.” “And we’re older now. This Han is older. The things that we’ve learned as men in our personal lives, I hope it can transcend on-screen.”

The “Fast and Furious 9” tease suggests that filmmakers have found a way to course correct — or at least offer a new way for fans to reckon with Shaw’s actions.

Kang declined to go into spoilers — for instance, exactly how Han is back, or the circumstances of his return to the screen. For now all he’ll say is that everything ties back into the franchise’s theme of “family.” “I hope we do it justice.”

Demi Lovato talks about coming out to her parents: ‘I was shaking’ - Yahoo Movies

Demi Lovato is opening up about her sexuality.

In a new interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, the “Anyone” singer spoke about being sexually fluid, which she came out as in 2018, noting, ““I’m very fluid. I think love is love. You can find it in any gender. I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want.”

Demi Lovato, pictured in November, recalls telling her parents that she's sexually fluid. (Photo: Rachel Murray/Getty Images for Teen Vogue)

In the radio interview, she recalled telling her parents — mom Dianna De La Garza and stepdad Eddie De La Garza — for the first time. She also spoke about her desire to have children, with a partner or on her own, in the next decade.

“I’m still figuring it out,” Lovato said of her sexuality. “I didn’t officially tell my parents that I saw myself ending up possibly with a woman, too, until 2017,” which is one year after she ended her six-year romance with Wilmer Valderrama.

She said that conversation was “emotional but really beautiful.” She said after she got it out, “I was shaking and crying and I just felt overwhelmed. But I have such incredible parents. They were so supportive. My dad was like: ‘Yeah, obviously,’” and pointed to Lovato’s song "Cool for the Summer," in which she sang about hooking up with a woman.

Lovato went on to say that her mom was “the one that I was super nervous about, but she was just like, ‘I just want you to be happy. And that was so beautiful and amazing, and like I said — so grateful.”

As far as having children of her own, she said, “I don’t know what my future looks like. I don’t know if I’m going to have kids this year or in 10 years. I don’t know if I’m going to do it with a partner or without. Cause women, we don’t need partners [to raise kids]. Amen.”

Fresh off her stunning Grammy Awards performance, Lovato will be singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday. But she almost didn’t return to music after her near-fatal overdose in 2018, she revealed during the interview.

“I think as time goes on, I’ll be able to give more information or more details,” she said referring to her overdose. But not performing again — or being able to perform again “was a general thought. We didn’t know what was going to happen. We didn’t know how healthy I’d be when I left, it was a scary time in my life for sure.”

Since Lovato left rehab the fall of 2018, she’s had two public romances — with Austin Wilson and Henry Levy. Just prior to rehab, she posted a social media photo touching tongues with her longtime backup dancer Dani Vitale, but quickly deleted them. Fans long speculated about the relationship between the women, who are no longer friends amid fallout over Lovato’s overdose.

Harvey Weinstein rape trial faces pivotal moment with latest testimony - Fox Business

NEW YORK (AP) — The woman whose rape allegation led to criminal charges against Harvey Weinstein is set to testify Friday in a pivotal moment for both sides in his #MeToo-era trial.

Prosecutors look to hammer home the most serious charges in a case that stems from the allegations of just two of the scores of women who have accused Weinstein of violating them. A conviction could put him behind bars for the rest of his life.

Meanwhile, Weinstein's lawyers plan to seize on the accuser's complicated history with the disgraced film producer, including continued interactions and warm emails she sent him, as they try to raise doubts about her credibility.

The Associated Press has a policy of not publishing the names of sexual assault accusers without their consent. It is withholding the woman’s name because it isn’t clear if she wishes to be identified publicly.

HILLARY CLINTON ON HARVEY WEINSTEIN: 'HOW COULD WE HAVE KNOWN?'

The woman alleges Weinstein raped her in his New York City hotel room in March 2013 after injecting his penis with medicine to induce an erection. She was a 27-year-old aspiring actress and he was about to turn 61.

Weinstein’s lawyers say the woman followed up the alleged rape with warm — even flirtatious — emails that said things like “Miss you, big guy," and no one “understands me quite like you.” The defense says the messages point to a consensual relationship, not a heinous sex crime.

Not once, in more than 400 messages between the two, did the woman accuse Weinstein of harming her, his lawyers have said.

On Monday, jurors heard from the other woman whose allegations have led to charges in the New York case. Mimi Haleyi, a former production assistant for “Project Runway,” testified that Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her in 2006.

Weinstein has insisted any sexual encounters were consensual.

Two other accusers whose allegations are not part of the criminal charges against Weinstein also testified this week, called by prosecutors to bolster their case that he has violated many women in the same manner over the years.

Last week, “Sopranos” actress Annabella Sciorra testified that Weinstein overpowered and raped her after barging into her apartment in the mid-1990s. That allegation is outside the statute of limitations, but is part of prosecutors' strategy to show that the powerful Hollywood mogul had a habit of preying on women.

WEINSTEIN DEFENSE GRILLS SCIORRA: WHY DIDN’T YOU GO TO DE NIRO OR STALLONE?

In questioning those women, Weinstein's lawyers also took aim at their continued interactions with him, suggesting that a follow-up meeting or communication with Weinstein was a sign that nothing untoward had happened.

But Dr. Barbara Ziv, a sex crimes expert whom the prosecution called as a witness, testified last week that most sex assault victims continue to have contact with their attackers, sometimes because those attackers threaten retaliation if the victims tell anyone what happened.

Victims are “hoping this is just an aberration” and they can also end up blaming themselves, Ziv testified.

Anticipating the defense's expected line of questioning Friday, prosecutor Meghan Hast told jurors in an opening statement last week that the alleged rape victim had “buried her trauma” and was trying to navigate Weinstein’s powerful grip on her by pretending she wanted to see him and saying nice things.

HARVEY WEINSTEIN HELD ME DOWN, RAPED ME: 'SOPRANOS' ACTRESS

To prosecutors, the woman behind the rape charge is a prime example of a Weinstein target: a young, vulnerable woman who believed the once-revered movie mogul sincerely wanted to help her fledgling career, only for him to make increasingly vile sexual advances.

“He was the old lady in the gingerbread house luring the kids in, missing the oven behind,” Hast said in her opening statement.

Hast said the woman and Weinstein met at a Hollywood party in February 2013 and Weinstein appeared to take an instant liking to her. They had several follow up meetings, ostensibly to talk about her career, but things turned more and more sexual, the prosecutor said.

At one meeting, Weinstein tried to give the woman a massage, only for her to rebuff him and offer him a massage instead, Hast said. At another meeting, the prosecutor said Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on the woman.

The day of the alleged rape, Hast said, the woman and her actress roommate were supposed to meet Weinstein for breakfast, but instead the woman and Weinstein got into a heated confrontation that he demanded they finish in his hotel room.

There, Hast said, Weinstein started ripping the woman’s clothes off and raped her. The prosecutor said Weinstein raped the woman again in November 2013 when she was working as a hairdresser and went to cut his hair.

Weinstein has not been charged in that alleged incident.

His lawyers note that the woman’s emails continued after the second alleged rape. In February 2017, she wrote Weinstein to tell him she had a scheduling conflict and couldn’t make it to a hotel to see him.

HARVEY WEINSTEIN'S DEFENSE: PRIVATE EYES WERE HIRED 'FOR DAYS LIKE THIS'

“I love you, always do. But I hate feeling like a booty call,” she wrote, adding a smiling-face symbol afterward.

Netflix 'The Crown' to End With Season 5; Imelda Staunton Set as Queen - Hollywood Reporter

The royal epic will end its reign earlier than expected with creator Peter Morgan saying it was the "perfect time and place to stop."

Royal watchers hoping The Crown might be extended to include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "Megxit" or the fallout from Prince Andrew's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein are set to be disappointed.

Netflix's hit drama series about the British royal family will end with season five, creator and showrunner Peter Morgan has revealed, with Imelda Staunton confirmed as taking the golden baton from Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth for the final season.

"At the outset I had imagined The Crown running for six seasons but now that we have begun work on the stories for season five it has become clear to me that this is the perfect time and place to stop," said Morgan. "I’m grateful to Netflix and Sony for supporting me in this decision."

Morgan added that was "absolutely thrilled" that Staunton — a British stage and screen icon with a career spanning four decades, five Olivier awards, a BAFTA award and an Oscar nomination (for 2004's Vera Drake) — would be "taking The Crown into the 21st Century."

“I have loved watching The Crown from the very start," said Staunton, recently seen in the Downton Abbey movie alongside her husband Jim Carter (who plays Mr. Carson).

"As an actor it was a joy to see how both Claire Foy and Olivia Colman brought something special and unique to Peter Morgan’s scripts. I am genuinely honoured to be joining such an exceptional creative team and to be taking The Crown to its conclusion."

Produced for Netflix by the Sony-owned Brit banner Left Bank Pictures, The Crown became one of the SVOD giants most defining prestige dramas when it first aired in 2016, while coming to underline the company's commitment to big-budget production spend in the U.K., where it now has a major presence.

Among its sizeable haul of honors across the first two seasons are back-to-back SAG awards for Foy, a SAG award for John Lithgow, who played Winston Churchill, Golden Globe wins (best television series – drama, and best actress – television series drama for Foy), plus a total of 26 Primetime Emmy noms.

Season three – which arrived on Netflix in December – has already won Colman (who took over from Foy as Queen Elizabeth) a Golden Globe, while the show itself was awarded the SAG award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series.

"The first three seasons of The Crown defined an era, and I know the upcoming fourth season will build further on that success," said Netflix vp, original content, Cindy Holland.

"It’s a stunning example of award-winning entertainment, created in the U.K. and loved by millions of fans around the world. I fully support Peter Morgan’s creative decision and am excited to see how he, Imelda Staunton and the cast and crew of Season 5, bring this landmark series to a fitting and spectacular end."

Taylor Swift calls GOP Sen. Marsha Blackburn 'Trump in a wig' in new documentary - CNN

In the documentary out Friday, Swift goes after Blackburn's record as she gets emotional discussing with her parents and team about wanting to voice her opinion in the 2018 midterm elections, adding that she regrets not speaking out against Donald Trump during the 2016 election.
Swift, who had been reluctant to voice her political opinions in the past, broke her silence on politics during the 2018 midterms and endorsed Blackburn's rival for Senate, Democrat Phil Bredesen, and another Democrat running in Tennessee in an Instagram post. In the post's caption, Swift had said Blackburn's voting record "appalls and terrifies me."
Blackburn, a conservative lawmaker closely tied to the President, ended up winning her 2018 race by about 11 points, becoming the first female senator to represent her state.
Later in the documentary, Swift is shown reacting to Blackburn's election victory, saying she "can't believe it."
"She gets to be the first female senator in Tennessee, and she's Trump in a wig," Swift says. "She represents no female interests. She won by being a female applying to the kind of female males want us to be in a horrendous 1950s world."
The pop singer criticizes also Blackburn for her 2013 vote against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act and stance against same-sex marriage.
"It's really basic human rights, and it's right and wrong at this point, and I can't see another commercial and see her disguising these policies behind the words 'Tennessee Christian values,'" Swift says, getting emotional. "Those aren't Tennessee Christian values. I live in Tennessee. I am Christian. That's not what we stand for."
After Swift went public with her endorsement of Bredesen, Blackburn told Fox News at the time, "Of course I support women and I want violence to end against women."
It seems the Republican senator doesn't want bad blood between her and Swift, according to a statement provided to CNN.
"Taylor is an exceptionally gifted artist and songwriter, and Nashville is fortunate to be the center of her creative universe," Blackburn said in the statement, first reported by Variety. "While there are policy issues on which we may always disagree, we do agree on the need to throw the entertainment community's collective influence behind legislation protecting songwriters, musicians, and artists from censorship, copyright theft, and profiteering."
She pointed to her and Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler's legislation, the Ask Musicians for Music Act, or AM-FM Act, that seeks to have radio services "pay fair market value" for the music they use.
Swift has been a vocal about concerns around the rights of singers and songwriters to profit from their own music.
"I welcome any further opportunities to work with Tennessee's and the nation's creative communities to protect intellectual property and ensure appropriate compensation for their creations. On that note, I wish Taylor the best — she's earned it," Blackburn added.

Superfan Meghan Trainor Loses Her Mind When Dr. Phil Joins Her on Carpool Karaoke - TooFab

Meghan Trainor says she's been waiting for years to help James Corden get to work on Carpool Karaoke, and Thursday night was finally her chance.

Even better, James concocted the best possible surprise, eliciting a reaction so pure and genuine there was absolutely no doubt that her super-fandom of Dr. Phil was absolutely true.

Actually there was no doubt after she revealed to James that she had just recently been to his show.

"You were on his show?" James asked.

"No, no. I was in the audience," she said. "For my birthday, my brother got me tickets to see Dr. Phil live and I went there and it was the greatest day of my whole life."

Make that the second greatest day of her life, because moments later Dr. Phil himself slid into the backseat and Meghan absolutely lost her mind. She started squealing and almost hyperventilating from the moment she caught a glimpse of him in the side mirror.

"I’m gonna throw up. I’m so excited," she said. Then turning to him, she added, "Your teeth look so good. He’s so handsome."

With a private sessions, Meghan started talking about how much anxiety had dominated much of her life, and how she was able to channel it into her music. She also talked again about how she wound up as such a prolific songwriter, which turned out to have a genesis in the same place.

When James asked her why she thinks she went down that road than the road of being an artist herself at first, Meghan said candidly, "I think because of my looks," she said. "I looked as insecure as I felt."

The song "All About That Bass" changed everything for her as producers simply decided to let her be the artist on it. "And then all my dreams came true," she said with a smile.

A prolific songwriter for countless artists -- and she said she wants to write for everybody -- James put her on the spot to write a song right then about the traffic. And with an assist from James himself, they quickly came up with an incredibly catchy ditty.

"I’m in traffic, beep beep / I’m in traffic, beep beep! / All I’m thinking ‘bout is you / And what I’m gonna do / When I get to your room / I’ll give you that Zoom Zoom Zoom."

We know there's some fancy editing at play in these segments, but that was nevertheless a very impressive and very quick songwriting session to get the kernel of something with that earworm quality that can make a hit.

Elsewhere, Meghan shared just how much she adores the married life, and how she knew on the first date that Daryl Sabara was the man for her. And she has her friend Chloë Grace Moretz to thank for the whole thing.

"She set me up on like a modern-day blind date," Meghan said. "We were hanging out and I was like, Dude, I’m just trying to find a nice guy. And she was like, Well, one of my best friends is the nicest guy I know."

From there it was a double-date to the bowling alley and karaoke where Daryl serenaded her with Elton John's "Your Song." And she kew that night, "I'm gonna marry him."

James couldn't get enough of her story about their "romantic" first kiss. Especially as Chloë and her boyfriend-at-the-time, Brooklyn Beckham, kept urging them to kiss. "Brooklyn came over to me and was like, You should kiss him," Meghan laughed.

"How old were you at this point? 12?" James asked.

She even told them at the time, "You are children," insisting she would kiss him on her own time. But it wasn't much later. "I looked at my security guard, and I was like, Be gone. And that’s what gave Daryl the cue, like, Oh, it’s going down."

Steamy.

But everything worked out for the couple, who wed in 2018 and have been going strong since. And Daryl isn't her only fan, as it was Dr. Phil who swooped in with the plug for Meghan's new album "Treat Myself," available Friday.

Taylor Swift Tells Joe Alwyn She Loves Him in 'Miss Americana' Documentary - Cosmopolitan.com

  • Joe Alwyn shows up in Taylor Swift's new Netflix documentary Miss Americana.
  • In one especially cute moment, Taylor is seen mouthing "I love you," presumably to Joe.

Taylor Swift's new Netflix documentary Miss Americana has ARRIVED, and for those of you wondering if we'd finally get an inside look at her relationship with Joe Alwyn, the answer is yes.

There are two major Joe moments in the doc—in one, Taylor sings him "Call It What You Want," and as he sings along in the background we see her mouth "I love you." Truly, I'll give you a moment, because it's a lot of cute vibes to handle.

And then in another scene we actually see the man himself when Taylor runs off stage after a Reputation tour performance and basically leaps into Joe's arms:

Taylor also talked a bit about her personal life without mentioning Joe by name, saying she's not ready to start a family (or at least she wasn't when this doc was filmed): “There’s part of me that feels like I’m 57 years old, but there’s part of me that’s definitely not ready to have kids and definitely not ready for all that grown up stuff. I kind of don’t really have the luxury of figuring stuff out, though, because my life is planned two years ahead of time. Literally, in two months, they’ll come at me with dates for the next tour.”

She also spoke about life before Joe, saying “I didn’t have a partner that I climbed [that mountain] with that I could high five. I didn’t have anyone I could talk to that could relate to it. I had my mom, but I just wondered….shouldn’t there be someone I could call right now?”

After starting to date Joe amid a ton of public drama, she said they “decided together” to keep their relationship private: “Even though it was [a] really horrible [time], I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just…happy.”

Just gonna be a huge nerd and end things with a 😍.

Jennifer Lopez And Her Toned Arms Should Make Every NFL Quarterback Nervous - msnNOW

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are gearing up to take center stage at Super Bowl LIV. They're not just warming up their voices, though. The Hustlers star is also flexing her ridiculously toned arm muscles and tossing the pigskin around in Miami RN.

She does tough workouts with fiancé Alex Rodriguez and never takes rest days.

It seems she and her big guns are gunning for a spot on the field. And, tbh she looks like she could fit right in with the players. Take a look at the photo she posted to Instagram, and just try to tell me I'm wrong.

The official NFL account commented on her post: "Multi-talented! 🏈🎤."

Btw, J.Lo does have a bit of experience working out with pro athletes. Her go-to workout buddy is fiancé Alex Rodriguez, whose pro baseball career needs no introduction. He also chimed in on Jennifer's Instagram with, "Game changer ❤️👍✅⚾️💥."

So, how did J.Lo get her arms looking so dang strong? For one, it took a lot of intense sweat sessions with her boo, during which she follows the same circuit as him. ICYDK, A-Rod often posts a full rundown of their his-and-hers strength training. And he added proof that she more than keeps up in the caption: "When your workout partner kicks your a$$ 🤦🏽♂️."

J.Lo also took a crash course in pole dancing (literally, she had bruises all over) to prep for her role in Hustlers. She worked with the film's lead choreographer, Johanna Sapakie (nbd, she's performed with Cirque du Soleil), who put the superstar through her paces. "This is just as hard as anything I've ever learned," J.Lo said about her training.

Even when she's not doubling down for a role, she "very rarely skips a workout," she revealed to Us Weekly in 2015.

NFL scouts, take note—you don't want to miss this recruitment opportunity.

Multiple sources told Page Six that discussions between Swift’s team and show officials were held where it was said Swift would only attend and perform if she was to win a big Grammy.

But those planning the show did know the winners and they would not bend the rules for her.

WHY TAYLOR SWIFT BAILED ON THE GRAMMYS

Yet a spokesperson for Swift said, “I am on the record: These statements by anonymous, unidentified ‘sources’ are absolutely 100 percent false and laughable. She just didn’t go to the Grammys. You guys need to calm down.”

Swift was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Were Offered Freedom From the Royal Family Before They Married and Turned it Down - Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly had a way out of the royal family before they tied the knot. When they were engaged, Queen Elizabeth allegedly pushed for a longer transition period for Meghan that would have kept her out of the royal spotlight. But Meghan and Harry turned down the offer and became working members of the monarchy shortly after their $25 million wedding.

Meghan Markle gives up acting for Prince Harry

Before she met Prince Harry, Meghan had a promising career in Hollywood. The future Duchess of Sussex had made a name for herself in the popular legal drama, Suits, and seemed poised for a successful career in the entertainment industry.

That all changed when she started dating Harry. When he proposed to Meghan, she decided to give up acting altogether and become a full-time royal.

After the couple tied the knot in 2018, Meghan took on a full schedule as a senior member of the royal family. But the scrutiny Meghan and Prince Harry faced over the past two years proved too difficult for them to handle.

At the beginning of 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were stepping away from their royal duties in favor of a quieter life. They plan on splitting their time between the UK and Canada and will no longer accept public funding.

Queen Elizabeth announces royal split

In the days following the stunning announcement, Prince Harry met with other senior royals about leaving The Firm. This includes several meetings with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William at Her Majesty’s estate in Sandringham.

Following the intense discussions, Queen Elizabeth released a statement confirming that Harry and Meghan will be leaving the royal family to lead a more private life. The transition is likely to be finalized sometime this spring.

“I recognize the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life,” Queen Elizabeth shared.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently living on Vancouver Island and are reportedly looking to purchase a second home somewhere in Canada. They are also expected to pay back the money that was used to renovate their house, Frogmore Cottage.

While the couple’s departure shocked royal watchers around the world, inside sources claim that they were offered a way out of the royal spotlight days before their lavish wedding.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle offered freedom

Before Meghan and Harry tied the knot, Queen Elizabeth reportedly approached them with an offer that would make her transition into the royal family a lot smoother. According to The Sun, Queen Elizabeth wanted Meghan to take on a lesser role in the family that would allow her to continue acting.

“From the early days, the Queen really wanted to agree a smooth transition for Meghan,” a source claims. “The offer would have allowed her to carry on her career but she was happy to stop acting to become a working member of the royal family.”

At the time of her wedding, Meghan discussed leaving her acting career behind and said that she was excited to begin a new chapter in her life. She also stated that she had put everything she had in her career and felt like it was a good time to step away.

Fast forward two years and palace officials are reportedly frustrated by Megxit because they believe it could have been prevented if Meghan and Prince Harry had accepted Queen Elizabeth’s offer.

They are also disappointed because it seems like Meghan and Harry were pressured into quitting, which could not be further from the truth. The royal family has not confirmed the rumors about Queen Elizabeth’s offer.

Was Meghan Markle planning Megxit this whole time?

Apart from Her Majesty’s alleged offer, there are rumors that suggest Meghan had been planning an early exit from the royal family since day one.

Once Meghan and Prince Harry exchanged vows, it was presumed that she would be living permanently in the UK. But prior to moving her things from Canada, Meghan put a bunch of her clothing in a storage unit in Toronto.

A few weeks ago, Meghan had the clothes shipped from the storage facility to her temporary home on Vancouver Island.

The move has sparked a lot of speculation that Meghan never intended to remain in the UK for the rest of her life and always had plans to return to Canada. After all, why else would she keep some of her personal items in Canada if she didn’t plan on returning?

Meghan Markle has not commented on the rumors surrounding her exit. Prince Harry has spoken out and said that he felt he “had no other choice.”
