BTS Turns Times Square Into BTS Concert on New Year’s Eve - Vulture

Photo: Eugene Gologursky/Getty Images for Dick Clark Prod

The highly anticipated BTS performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve transformed all of Times Square into what basically looked like a giant BTS concert. The K-pop boy-band performed their songs “Make It Right” and “Boy with Luv.” The group’s devoted fanbase, the ARMY, had the performance trending hours before BTS actually took stage, and turned out in droves both on Twitter and in-person. The band previously made their American television debut at the American Music Awards back in 2017, and have gone on to perform on SNL as well as release songs with Halsey and Charlie XCX. It’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing more of them in 2020. Check out their performance below.

‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ – We Need to Talk About This Rose Tico Situation - TheWrap

(This article contains some spoilers for Rose Tico’s role, such that it is, in “Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.” I would say these are not major spoilers.)

One of the weirder things that happened in the wake of “The Last Jedi,” which sparked endless online arguments about its merits, is that a group of nerds who disliked the film decided to take their anger out specifically on Kelly Marie Tran, the actress who plays Rose Tico.

It was a bad time caused by bad people. And yet “The Rise of Skywalker” nonetheless feels very much like parts of the film were constructed specifically to cater to those harassers — and the way it takes Rose, who was a main character in the last movie, and dumps her into a minor background role is Exhibit A.

Now, when Rose was first introduced back in “The Last Jedi,” it wasn’t necessarily the cleanest fit. She spent most of the movie with Finn (John Boyega) going on a side adventure that had no real bearing on the main plot and thus, unlike the characters who were in “The Force Awakens,” never actually got to establish herself as part of the new trilogy’s ensemble. She never got to be part of the group, and thus felt kinda extraneous.

That’s not an unfixable problem. John Boyega promised that the main crew of this new trilogy would spend a lot more time together in “The Rise of Skywalker,” so really all that needed to be done was to include Rose in that crew. After all, extraneous or not she was inarguably one of the film’s main characters and even got to deliver a line of dialogue summing up what amounts to the moral of the story. And at the end of “The Last Jedi,” Rose and Finn have basically become a couple, so it would make sense to bring her along on Finn’s adventures with Poe and Rey.

Except that doesn’t happen, like at all. In “The Rise of Skywalker,” Rose basically gets the same treatment Jar Jar received in “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith.” Relegating her to a very minor role — barely more than a cameo — the film tries to present her like she was never actually one of the main characters in this new trilogy. And her interactions with Finn suggest nothing more than professional courtesy, an especially weird thing to do considering the last time we saw them, they were kissing.

I can’t pretend to know exactly what the thought process was behind this decision, but there are not all that many reasons why they would push Rose out of frame like this. The big one, as we all know, is that a bunch of freakin’ nerds conducted a months-long harassment campaign that drove Kelly Marie Tran off social media after “The Last Jedi” came out. Actually, that’s the only reason I can think of. That doesn’t mean it is the only possible reason, obviously. “The Rise of Skywalker” is full of shockingly inexplicable creative decisions — we’re talking about a movie with a huge fleet of Death Stars here. But if there’s some other reason why she’s only in a handful of scenes, it’s not something we could ever intuit.

One gets the feeling that “The Rise of Skywalker” is trying to undo the setup provided by “The Last Jedi,” sort of like how that film set out to defy your expectations based on how “The Force Awakens” kicked off the trilogy. Abrams and co. will insist that’s not the case, but Rose serves as pretty solid evidence.

And that’s annoying! I can understand, in a general sense, criticisms of how her character was handled in “The Last Jedi.” What I can’t understand, in the third movie of a trilogy and ninth movie of a series, is simply refusing the play the cards you’re dealt. You can’t just toss one of the main characters aside just because a couple dozen angry internet nerds didn’t like her in the last movie.

Or I guess you can, since that’s exactly what happened with Rose in “The Rise of Skywalker.” And that’s not great, Bob.

Singer Mariah Carey's Twitter account was hacked Tuesday evening, resulting in numerous racist messages before Carey's representatives regained control of the account.

Twitter confirmed that her account had been compromised.

"Confirming the account was hacked. As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised account and are currently investigating the situation," a spokesperson said.

Screenshots of the now-deleted messages showed several racist slurs from a group that identified itself as the "Chuckling Squad," which also claimed responsibility for hacking Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's account earlier this year.

Carey later responded in a tweet, writing, "I take a freaking nap and this happens?"

Carey has 21.4 million followers, and news of the hack was one of the top trending topics in the U.S. on New Year's Eve.

Mariah Carey's Twitter account got hacked - Fox News

Pop diva Mariah Carey, the queen of Christmas, didn't have a nice New Year’s Eve after her Twitter account was hacked on Tuesday.

Variety reported that the hack began at 3:23 p.m. PT, and more than 50 tweets were posted containing vulgarities and the use of the N-word. There were also posts about rapper Eminem.

The last tweet appeared at 3:35 p.m. PT and showed a photo of a shirtless teenager, Billboard reported

Pop diva Mariah Carey, the queen of Christmas, didn’t have a nice New Year’s Eve after her Twitter was hacked on Tuesday.

Carey’s ex-husbandNick Cannonand rapper Eminem were engaged in a public feud earlier this month, fighting back and forth in their ongoing diss track battle. Cannon claimed the rapper never dated Carey and insisted that the Detroit native has a drug problem.

The rap feud was initially ignited after Eminem, 47, was featured in a new song claiming he and Carey, 49, "didn't end on a high note," and further claimed that Cannon, 39, was "neutered" by the pop singer.

The news outlet reported that some of the boorish tweets posted to Carey’s compromised account referred to the Chuckling Squad, a hacker group that was responsible for the August hacking of the account of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

The ill-mannered tweets posted to Dorsey’s account -- posted and deleted within minutes -- included the use of the N-word, other loutish comments and one message claiming there was a bomb at Twitter's headquarters.

Since the hack, all tweets have been erased from Carey's account.

"As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised account and are currently investigating the situation," a Twitter spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter.

This week, the music legend broke yet another record.

Earlier this month, Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hit No. 1 on the charts for the first time since its release 25 years ago, where it has remained since -- the song's run at No. 1 will stretch at least until Jan. 4, 2020, making her the first artist ever to have a No. 1 hit in four different decades.

Carey's Christmas classic is her 19th No. 1 hit overall, earning her the most No. 1 singles for a solo artist in history.

The 49-year-old singer's first big hit was "Vision of Love" in 1990, which was followed by 13 others before the year 2000. Three hits came in the 2000s before "All I Want for Christmas" would finally hit No. 1 in 2019, stretching into 2020.

'Star Wars': Kelly Marie Tran on Challenge of Shooting Leia's Scenes - Hollywood Reporter

Despite not directly addressing her character Rose Tico’s diminished screen time, Tran does explain how challenging it was to shoot Leia’s scenes with pre-existing footage of the late Carrie Fisher. Some of these scenes even required reshoots. Such details align with co-writer Chris Terrio’s account of how some of Tran’s scenes fell on the cutting room floor due to the delicate nature of repurposing unused Leia footage.

“It’s one thing to sit there, look at that footage and try to react to it, but a lot of the big group scenes felt like they were puzzle pieces if that makes sense,” Tran tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I think there were more reshoots on those scenes, specifically, to just try and make sure all of the performances matched up since she [Carrie Fisher] wasn’t physically there.”

Tran also alludes to some cut footage of Rose during the movie’s concluding battle on the planet of Exegol.

“It was insane to be running across this platform — which I know you only see for a second in the movie — but we shot it so many times,” Tran explains. “I remember having bruises on my knees the next day because we kept running, and then we would fall onto our knees and do some more shooting stuff. I don’t think that’s in the movie…”

In a recent conversation with THR, Tran also discusses the feeling on set during Leia’s emotional death scene, her newfound friendship with co-star Naomi Ackie and the significance of The Last Jedi’s Canto Bight sequence.

Well, you and Naomi (Ackie) seem to be having a good time on this press tour.

(Laughs.) We are having the best time. Naomi is the best.

Since you know what it’s like to be the new castmate in a Star Wars movie, did you reach out to her at the beginning of the process?

Yeah, I did! It must’ve been pretty early into the whole process, but we went for a drink in South Bank, London. We sort of talked about everything, and we have since been really, really good friends. It’s been really wonderful to have another woman of color to experience this whole thing with.

Last night [Dec. 18] was the European premiere in London. How are you feeling as things begin to wind down?

I’m doing great! I feel as if I went to Star Wars college. It was something that I was involved in for the past four years, and it was a wonderful experience. I’ve learned a lot, and now I’m graduating. It’s crazy. We’re all graduating. So, that’s kind of how I’m viewing it.

A year has passed since the events of The Last Jedi, and Rose has climbed the Resistance’s chain of command. Did you create backstory during that missing time period so you could incorporate Rose's added experience into your performance?

I definitely did. I also did that for moments in The Last Jedi where I felt that there were things I wanted to have in my arsenal — both as an actor and in terms of knowledge of my character. But, last time, during Jedi, I had all this backstory, and I later read one of the novels that was based on my character. So, I quickly realized I was completely wrong. So, the answer is yes: I do have a lot of backstory that I made up in between, but I’m pretty sure it’s not canon. (Laughs.)

I’ve heard actors say that the camera can pick up their thoughts. Is that something you’ve noticed at this point, too?

I think that’s definitely true, especially with acting on film. Having a thought changes something in a facial expression or not even a physical movement. Just having a thought changes the eyes in a specific way that helps convey a message.

Does J.J. give much performance direction, or does he trust his actors' judgement for the most part?

I don’t want to speak for every actor; I can only speak to the relationship I have with him personally. I do think it’s a little bit of both. It’s definitely a collaborative process, which I think is the best way to work.

The big Leia moment after she contacts Ben was just crushing. What was that day on set like?

Yeah... (Tran sighs.) I think it was really emotional for everyone. There’s definitely a sort of reverence that comes with knowing you’re in a scene like that. I don’t know how else to convey the feeling that I had on set that day, which is a feeling of wanting to make sure we did justice to that moment and to Leia.

When a heavy scene is on the schedule, a number of actors have told me that there tends to be a lighter feeling on set as a subconscious response to what’s happening that day. Was that also the case here?

I remember us still being normal humans and kind of joking around about little things. But, we were always still remembering what we were doing. I think that day, for me, was very, very specific, and I won’t forget the feeling of being aware of what we were doing. I think we all knew how many people loved this character and what this moment meant to them. So, we just wanted to honor and respect Leia, but also Carrie.

Compared to most scenes, were the Leia scenes given a lot more time and attention given the circumstances?

Yeah, the one thing that was difficult was that you were acting with footage that was pre-recorded. So, instead of having an actor there and reacting off the actor, you would sometimes look  — in between takes — at how the actor delivered a line and then try to  imagine and react to that. So, it definitely took more time and was a very different experience for me. We probably did a lot more takes for scenes with her than without her.

It’s one thing to sit there, look at that footage and try to react to it, but a lot of the big group scenes felt like they were puzzle pieces if that makes sense. We were trying to use specific moments that they already had, so it definitely took more time. I think there were more reshoots on those scenes, specifically, to just try and make sure all of the performances matched up since she wasn’t physically there.

Rose gives Snap a bit of a hard time for his lack of optimism. Where was her head at during that moment?

(Laughs.) As she did in The Last Jedi, she always had this vision of hope and faith in a cause, while also knowing what they were up against. Seeing that the Resistance is in this dire place, I think she maintains that in that moment.

When you’re shooting those big Resistance pep talks, do they ever get you genuinely pumped up?

(Laughs.) Honestly, those big Resistance scenes where everyone has one line are really hard. I think we shot that scene so many times because we couldn’t figure out the puzzle pieces of what Leia was going to say and what everyone else was going to say to fit around it. I think there is an air of feeling like you’re pumped up, but we’re really just spending most of the time trying to get it right.

Was the Battle of Exegol the most organized chaos you’ve experienced on a set?

Yeah, it was probably one of the biggest sets I had ever been on. It was incredible to see what the stunt teams did. It was also insane to be running across this platform — which I know you only see for a second in the movie — but we shot it so many times. I remember having bruises on my knees the next day because we kept running and then we would fall onto our knees and do some more shooting stuff. I don’t think that’s in the movie. It was definitely organized chaos as stormtroopers were flying, people were on horses… It was pretty insane.

Chewie had the honor of hugging Rose as everyone was celebrating back at the base. I assume that wasn’t your last day of shooting?

No, it wasn’t my last day of shooting. I think my last day of shooting was me doing one of those group-type scenes, but the Chewie moment was a really fun moment. Lin-Manuel Miranda was also in that moment, so that was cool.

Is it even possible to get sick of hugging Chewie?

(Laughs.) No, it’s so fun! Joonas (Suotamo) is the best.

What was going through your head on your actual last day?

I remember feeling very happy and sad if that makes sense. It was sort of this in between emotion of being grateful to be a part of this thing that’s much bigger than me and also feeling sad that it’s over. So, there were a lot of emotions that day.

Out of curiosity, were you ever gifted Rose’s crescent moon necklace?

I was not, but I am waiting... (Laughs.)

Rose’s quote, “That’s how we’re gonna win. Not fighting what we hate. Saving what we love,” has transcended The Last Jedi since it's quite relevant to our own world. I’ve also come across it a few times in contexts that are unrelated to Star Wars. Has it made its way to you in unexpected places or moments?

Yeah, it definitely has. I don’t want to get too political, but at the Women’s March, I saw people holding posters of that quote with photos. So, it was pretty special.

I get very defensive over Canto Bight because its subtext is essential to this story and these characters. While exploring a revolting and rarely seen side of the war, Rose got the chance to become a hero like her sister, Paige, and she even opened Finn’s eyes to the point where he finally stopped running and became a Resistance fighter. Was the subtext of Canto Bight just as impactful for you?

Yes, absolutely. For me, that whole moment of really seeing the people who are profiting off of other people’s suffering and oppression is really relevant in the world today. Like you said, it hadn’t really been addressed, and I think it’s a really beautiful moment. Rian Johnson is a genius.

How Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Pulled Off That Cool Cameo, According To J.J. Abrams - CinemaBlend

Warning: SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker are ahead!

Going into Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, we knew we’d be seeing plenty of familiar faces, including Billy Dee Williams’ Lando Calrissian and Ian McDiarmid’s Palpatine, both of who had been absent from the big screen for years. But it came as a surprise when following his duel with Rey on Kef Bir atop the wreckage of the second Death Star, Kylo Ren was greeted by a vision of his late father, Han Solo, reprised by… well, who else, Harrison Ford!

Given that Han was killed by his son in The Force Awakens, aside from exploring his younger years in Solo: A Star Wars Story, it wasn’t expected that we’d see the character on the big screen again. So how did J.J. Abrams convince Harrison Ford to return to the Star Wars universe? All the Rise of Skywalker director had to do was ask the actor if he wanted to do a scene with Adam Driver, and Ford responded, “Okay.” Blunt and to the point, just what we expect from Ford.

Alright, there’s a little bit more to it than that. J.J. Abrams had to explain to Harrison Ford why it was necessary for Han Solo to appear in the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga, wanting to alleviate the kind of concerns that Ford had about the character in Return of the Jedi, as he believed Han wasn’t necessary to the story after being rescued from Jabba the Hutt’s palace. Abrams recalled:

In case you need a refresher on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, this vision of Han Solo (in other words, not a Force ghost) confronted Kylo Ren in one last attempt to pull him back to the light following the death of Leia Organa. The encounter mirrored Han and Kylo’s last encounter in The Force Awakens, only this time, the latter finally turned away from the dark side, tossing his lightsaber into the ocean and reclaiming his Ben Solo identity.

J.J. Abrams told Harrison Ford that it was vital for Han Solo to be present in this scene, because as writer Chris Terrio informed Vanity Fair, he and Abrams felt that following the death of Leia, Ben was ready to finally ask for forgiveness, and hashing out his inner conflict with his father allowed to finally make “some kind of peace” and “make amends in the future” despite everything he’d done while being Kylo Ren.

With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker serving as both the conclusion to the Sequel Trilogy and the entire Skywalker Saga, it was most welcome to have Harrison Ford reprise Han Solo, one of so many cameos. While I’m still hoping that we could someday see Alden Ehrenreich reprise his younger Han, when looking at the overall Star Wars timeline, this served as a fitting farewell to the character, so props to J.J. Abrams for convincing Harrison Ford to return to a galaxy far, far away one last time.

Stay tuned to CinemaBlend for more coverage about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and be sure to read our review of the movie. You can also learn what’s hitting theaters in the new year with our 2020 release schedule.

Netflix lists 2019's most popular movies, TV shows and docs - SFGate

What was the most popular title streamed on Netflix this year?

Odds are, you wouldn't guess it features Adam Sandler, but the goofball king of the '90s and surprise Oscar contender for "Uncut Gems" happens to star in what Netflix is calling its most popular title of 2019: "Murder Mystery."

RELATED: The best 25 films of 2019, according to 25 critics' top 10 lists

The streaming service just tweeted out eight lists showing its most popular titles across genres ranging from TV to stand-up specials. The lists weren't decided by overall streams throughout the year, but rather the number of households to stream a title in the first 28 days after its release. Although that admittedly skews the results towards shows and films with rabid followings over slow burners, it's still an interesting window into the viewing habits on the world's most popular streaming service.

TV fans won't be shocked to learn that season three of "Stranger Things" topped the charts, but may be interested to learn that "The Witcher" and "The Umbrella Academy" came in second and third. The documentary list may be the most useful for open-minded viewers (and true crime buffs), with the Ted Bundy doc coming in at the top, followed by "Our Planet" and "FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened."

Scroll through the above slideshow to see the top 10s in the movie, television and documentary categories.

Kevin Spacey Settles Sexual Assault Suit With Late Accuser’s Estate - Variety

Kevin Spacey has settled a lawsuit with the estate of a man who had accused him of sexual assault, following the accuser’s death in September.

The accuser, a massage therapist, had alleged that Spacey forced him to grab his genitals and tried to kiss him during a session in Malibu in October 2016. Spacey denied the allegation.

A trial was set to take place in federal court in June 2020, but the accuser died, reportedly of cancer, on Sept. 6.

The accuser’s estate filed a notice dismissing the lawsuit on Monday. Each side agreed to pay their own costs. Any other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had investigated the man’s allegations and forwarded the case to the district attorney’s office. After the accuser died, prosecutors announced they would not bring charges in the matter.

The plaintiff’s attorneys had intended to call two other massage therapists who would also claim that they were assaulted by Spacey. All three massage therapists did not want to be publicly identified.

Spacey had faced a separate criminal charge in Nantucket, stemming from an alleged groping of a busboy. That case was dropped in July, however, after the accuser in that case invoked his Fifth Amendment privileges during an evidentiary hearing. Spacey’s attorneys had accused the man and his mother of tampering with text messages used as evidence in the case. That accuser also dropped a civil suit.

Last week, Spacey released a video in which he portrayed Frank Underwood, his character from “House of Cards.”

“You didn’t really think I was going to miss the opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas, did you?” he asked.

Mariah Carey’s Twitter Account Hacked - Variety

On the one year anniversary of Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance, the legendary singer’s Twitter account has been hacked.

A user appearing to jokingly claim numerous identities and Twitter handles began tweeting from Carey’s account at 3:23 p.m. PT, posting that “Eminem can still hold this p—y….” Another tweet read that “Eminem has a little penis.” The hacker also exhorted Carey’s followers to follow specific handles to get follows back after they were “done.”

More than 50 tweets have been posted to Carey’s 21.4 million followers since the account was hacked, some using the n-word and referring to the Chuckling Squad, a hacker group that was responsible for the hacking of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account, as well as other celebrities. At least one arrest was made in connection with the hacking of Dorsey’s account.

According to Motherboard, Dorsey’s hack was carried out using a technique called SIM-swapping, where hackers trick a wireless provider like T-Mobile or Verizon into giving control of a phone number. Hackers can then gain access to two-factor authentication SMS codes post tweets via Twitter’s now-defunct text-to-tweet functionality. It’s unknown if Carey’s hacking was carried out the same way.

Several of the tweets included photos or videos of minors with shoutouts to Twitter handles in the caption.

The tweets appeared to have been deleted roughly 20 minutes after the hack began, with just a lone photo of a shirtless teenager holding an iPhone in front of his face and the caption “xbox n—-s” remaining.

Stacy London Confirms Her "First Serious Relationship With a Woman" - E! NEWS

Stacy London

New year, new love.

On Tuesday, Stacy London addressed some rumors about her relationship status that have been floating around the internet. The stylist and author who came to fame on the show What Not to Wear, is proudly owning her sexuality and opening up about her first real relationship with another woman.

Stacy confirmed she's been dating Cat Yezbak for well over a year, something many fans have guessed based on previous posts of hers, but now she's ready to shout her love from the rooftops and did it in the sweetest way on her Instagram.

"NOT THAT IT'S ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS BUT... I may as well address all the stuff I hear floating around out there. 2019 has been a crazy year for lots of reasons," she captioned multiple photos with Cat. "This 1st year of coping with grief and a lot of unforeseen health issues was, at times, such a truly dark place to be. But as with most of life, there has been such incredible joy as well and the person most responsible for that is @catyezbak, who is my girlfriend and has been for over a year."

As always, Stacy remained positive and inspirational with why she didn't feel the need to openly address her relationship. "Some of you may have guessed that already," she shared. "All my friends and family know her well. I haven't paraded her around on social media for several reasons: 1) I've had public relationships before and I don't love that. But I want to be clear here that with Cat I felt I owed us the chance to be private since this is my first serious relationship with a woman and I'm sure there will be some hoo ha about that. But I would never hide her out of shame."

"2.) It's really easy for me, a privileged white woman who is 50, to suddenly say 'I'm dating a woman' with very few repercussions and I am well aware of that," she continued. "Unlike me, there are countless people in the LGBTQIAP community who have had no choice in who they are, no love from family on which to lean, no support from anyone anywhere. I fell in love, truly in love, with this beautiful, sexy, kind soul and I won't apologize for that but I stand on the shoulders of a community that fought like hell for me to be able to do that openly and proudly and EASILY."

Regardless of the push back she might get from followers, Stacy maintained that it was time to speak her truth and step into all that she is hoping for in the coming year. Especially when it comes to fighting for LGBTQ rights for herself and others.

"It's one thing to SAY Love is Love. It's another thing to say Love is Passion and Devotion and Sex and mean it without shame or prejudice when talking about the same sex," she shared. "So I used to date men. Now I date her. That's it. That's all I have to say. Happy New Year to each and every one of you. I am wishing you the best of everything this coming year. Bring it 2020. Let's go."

Here's to entering the new year with a new outlook!

'Star Wars' fan loses his mind at cellphone users at screening - New York Post

Don’t mess with a “true ‘Star Wars’ fan” — or you might feel the Force of his fist.

Joe Bond and his wife — on their first “date night” after the birth of their second child — were at a 7:30 p.m. screening of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” Thursday at Canada’s Scotiabank Vancouver Theatre when they spotted a man “aggressively” asking staff how to find his seat.

Bond told Global News he had a bad feeling when the man “lost it” on another moviegoer who whipped out their cellphone to film the opening credits.

That’s when the father of two felt his own phone vibrating in his pocket.

“I thought I was getting a phone call from our baby sitter,” said Bond. “It was the first time my wife and I had been on a date with both our kids being looked after, so I pulled out my phone really discreetly to see if it was the baby sitter calling. It wasn’t, so I put it back.”

Too late. The still-unidentified man, clad in a button-down shirt and tie, promptly turned to the dark side in footage captured by Viral Hog.

“I am a real ‘Star Wars’ fan!” he screamed indignantly, punctuating his super fandom with some fervent finger-pointing.

“Turn your phones off! Turn your phones off!” he hollered, whipping out his own cellphone and waving it at his chorus of hecklers. “Use your f - - king heads! Welcome to the 21st century! I waited a goddamned year to see this so some a - - hole can turn his phone on next to me?!”

Bond told Global News, “I told him to calm down, and he didn’t calm down — and then he hit me in the face. There was a lot of people filming the situation because it was pretty hilarious.”

The alleged punch wasn’t captured in the resulting viral videos, but the crowd can be heard chanting “Out! Out! Out!” as staffers escort the foul-mouthed fan out of the theater.

Vancouver police confirmed they were called to the theater around 8 p.m. to handle an “unprovoked assault,” but were unable to apprehend the alleged assailant. They are now reviewing security-cam footage.

Go figure — the actions of a guy who was worried about having his personal viewing experience disrupted ended up altering everyone else’s night.

“Luckily, the Force was strong with the cineplex team who ended up rewinding the film for the remaining guests,” said Scotiabank spokeswoman Sarah Van Lange in an emailed statement. “They got a round of applause out of appreciation from the fans!”

This is the latest in a string of incidents pulling focus from director J.J. Abrams’ new entry in the epic sci-fi franchise. Earlier this week, there were multiple reports of fans suffering seizures at “Rise of Skywalker” screenings, and Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” actor Jake Cannavale raised eyebrows by declaring it  to be the “worst Star Wars movie. An absolute f - - king failure.”

While someone else thought: “Very sweet to include baby Archie’s arrival and Baptism. Looks like Will and Kate had a busy and fulfilling year. Lovely couple.”

The decision to include the Sussex’s comes after Prince Harry didn’t deny there was a rift between him and this brother.

He spoke in ITV documentary Meghan and Harry: An African Journey, which was broadcast earlier this year, and confirmed the pair are on “different paths”.

Rumours of an argument between the ‘fab four’ have been rife, fuelled by a splitting of the two households.

Soon after getting married, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were leaving Kensington Palace, and moved into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

The two brothers also split their joint charitable work, with the Sussex’s said to be setting up their own royal foundation next year.

Meanwhile we revealed the Queen owns a McDonald's, a Primark and a Starbucks.

And Mike Tindall revealed the Queen serves a cold buffet on Christmas day as staff have the day off.

It was recently revealed the Queen ‘burst out laughing’ after receiving Meghan Markle’s novelty present last year.
